TY WIRE Hybrid Screen Media
The jump from woven wire cloth to polyurethane can be big — the open area and weight difference can significantly alter the performance of your vibrating screen and affect your product quality. Ty-Wire offers greater open area than polyurethane and actually weighs less than wire cloth.
Features
- 4 – 7 longer lifetime than woven wire
- Can be installed like wire mesh, no deck conversion and additional hardware required
- A specially developed composite material around the wire mesh offers similar properties to PU but with a larger open screen area
- Improved and safe handling through lightweight construction
- Tapered openings reduce blinding & pegging
- Resistant to heavy loads in wet and dry applications
- Reduce noise pollution
- Available in side- or- end tensioned hooked sections or modular panels
- Square and retangular openings available in the widths:
- Square from 3.2mm to 41mm,
- Rectangular from 4.75mm x 25mm to6,3mm x 19mm

TY Wire: Your screen media in different manufacturing forms
Your Benefits are Ensured
- Hybrid design blends polyurethane and wire cloth, offering greater open area than traditional modular polyurethane.
- Tapered openings virtually eliminate pegging.
- Unique composite material offers 4-6 times longer wear life than woven wire cloth.
Options
Solid Impact Area
Ty-Wire can be manufactured without
openings in designated areas to reduce wear
in high impact areas.
Center Hold Down
To accommodate easy installation in wide vibrating screens, Ty-Wire can be manufactured with a center hold down allowing for secure fastening at the center
of the deck.
Stainless Steel Metal Reinforced Edges
Corrosion concerns are virtually eliminated with stainless steel edging on vulnerable sections.
For the Perfect Fit
Please Provide:
A – Side Tensioned or End Tensioned
B – Hook Direction (2 Hooks Up / 2 Hooks Down or 1
Hook Up and 1 Hook Down)
C – Width – Measurement from the outside of one
hook to the outside of the other hook
D – Length – Measurement of the length of the hook
E – Hook Type
F – Hole Size and Spacing
Opening vs. Open Screen Media
Opening: the size of the hole – 38 mm opening on both screens
Open Area: the number of holes – Ty-Max has 4 holes; Ty-Wire has 9 holes
Increasing the open screen area generally reduces the lifetime and reserve. A combination of these panels on the deck is a good compromise between wear and output!
Polyurethane & Woven Wire Screen Media
Characterized by resilient, low-maintenance qualities, polyurethane is a common screen media choice, but for many applications it can be more than what is required to screen effectively. A lower-cost option – woven wire – is productive, yet can fall short of yielding the longevity required in many applications. Ty-Wire, on the other hand, blends polyurethane composite and woven wire into an affordable, practical option that is also designed to maximize screening efficiency and productivity.
